Smart garden with a feeling of space.
A mix of contemporary linear design with borders full of seasonal planting bringing interest and colour throughout the year.
Cedar has been used on all bespoke major visual structures to tie the garden together. The screen to the rear hides the neighbouring house and the hedge will be left to grow across. The pergola has scented climbers that will scramble over the framework. A bespoke Cedar storage unit hides a water butt and houses garden tools.
Porcelain paving lightens the garden and is used in both patios which are in turn linked with a Cotswold shingle path.
Three separate seating areas provide space to enjoy the sun and different aspects of the garden and planting.
Lighting extends the use of the garden into the evening and creates and atmospheric view from the house.
Raised beds provide space to grow tall grasses thus creating a living screen for the smaller evening patio. The aged olive is a nod to Spain, a country that the client love. Acers feature throughout and a host of perennials to bring colour at different times throughout the season.
The side passage has been smartened with a Cedar ‘hit & miss’ fence and a new secure gate.
“We are very impressed with the way in which Sarah and Tom, and their team, worked with us during the whole process. We started off with no idea as to how to do things; they were both very patient and helped/ educated us as we went along. We had the whole garden ripped out, revamped and restructured. We write this as we sit in our beautiful garden with a glass of wine in hand and a big smile on our faces.”
